Why we do it
Battle & Banner was born in response to a potential for growth we have seen in countless organizations who genuinely want to affect social and environmental change with their resources and through their people.
After years of work designing and implementing service-based programs and civic initiatives around the country and world, we have seen firsthand the impact that productive partnerships, strategic philanthropy and effective programs can have in communities and on our environment. We have also seen the way poorly designed, implemented, and monitored projects can lead to decreased impact and sustainability of service, in some cases causing even more harm than good in a community.
Our priority is to increase the capacity and competencies of our clients and their workforce, and empower them to sustain their efforts for good, long term. In doing so we work to bring about the most strategic use of time, talent and resources, both given and received, to maximize the social impact of companies, agencies and nonprofits alike.

Our Team
For nearly 20 years, our principal Rahsaan Graham has led driving change within nonprofit and for-profit organizations of various scales and fields. He has vast experience in strategic planning and new business development, external relations, program design, partnership development, fund development and CSR strategy design and implementation. Rahsaan is passionate about optimizing potential for impact by bridging the nonprofit, for-profit and public networks. He has cultivated program, funding and volunteer relationships with and for numerous Fortune 500 companies and financial institutions, managed multi-million dollar campaigns, and overseen successful funding requests from individual, corporate, foundation and governmental donors.
